1/17/2018

To everyone who are supporting us in this time, I just wanted to take a minute and say thank you so much. I don't really even know what to say. We feel so supported and lacking in nothing. Thank you for your prayers, your monetary support, and emotional support. For asking to come and see him, and for all your thoughts toward our family. This is not an easy time right now, but I know we can get through this. We appreciate everything more than you know.

Dad usually takes care of all the financial aspects, so we have been learning a lot of new things as it pertains to taxes and paying bills etc...Its been a little overwhelming, because he didn't leave instructions of any kind, so we are learning by doing! Trail and error. Yesterday, Jennifer, who is in charge of HR at dads work, told us that we will continue to get paychecks from work until late February. I had thought we got the last one on the 12th. So thank you to all of dads friends and colleagues that are taking over his jobs for him. Everyone at dads work also took up a collection for us, and its really just one less thing to worry about.

Dad is no better and no worse today. We desperately want good news, and keep praying and praying for something to change for the better. The nurse just told mom today that dad is the sickest patient on the 2nd floor. So that is a little depressing. Yesterday, the chaplain and head nurse and two other important people took mom aside to another room. I think they are just making sure she isn't going to make a big fuss about them feeding dad diary through the IV, because that was most of the conversation. Although, needless to say, that really scared mom. She thought they were going to say that he was dying or something. I don't like thinking that dad could die. It makes it hard to breath.

Mei Ling, our cat, is a daddy's girl all the way. Every morning, while dad was drinking his coffee, she would come and curl up on his lap; and every night when he came home, she couldn't wait to cuddle up next to him. Since he has been in the hospital, she wanders around mewing loudly and trying to look for him. She curls up in his seat, and just lays there with her eyes wide open. Its so sad. She misses him so much.

Please keep praying and hoping. We need dad.

Love, Hannah
