Today dad had visitors. It is amazing how many people wanted to come and see him. Its amazing how many people care. We don’t want for love and prayers and support. Dads brother and his wife came to see him today. I cried when I saw his brother. Uncle Jim looks just like dad. When mom and then we quietly talking to him in the room, his head moved; just a little, but it was something! We took it to mean that he heard us talking and felt the love we had for him. We feel supported and loved by all of you. People have not stopped to ask how he is doing, and what we need.

Aunt Trisha is helping make a gofundme, so we have enough money to pay all our bills. Grandma wishes she could be here, and sends love to us. Uncle Jim and Aunt Sue are helping with Tax Returns and emotional support. Other friends give their support and prayers. Many other people too have made sure that we want for nothing, and I can’t wait to share with dad when he wakes up what amazing friends we have. Thank you all for everything. It means so much to us to be supported in this dark time.

After everyone left, and we were just about to leave, the nurse came in and said the doctor wanted to talk to mom. She went back, and the doctor said that dad may have to have a chest tube inserted. Apparently, dad has a pocket of air in-between the lung and the chest. He also said there is no improvement. And the outlook is grim. He said its not good at all, and he would have hoped dad would have made some progress by now.

So, now we are home, and feeling blue. Please continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers, and everything you do is greatly appreciated. Unfortunately, for now, there can be no more visitors to the ICU, he needs to get stronger first. We apologize, of course, and will do our best to keep you in the loop. When he can have visitors, we look forward to seeing all of you.

Love, Hannah

  1. Please make sure to post the gofundme link in a blog post. I will make sure to get it out to as many people as I can.
