‘I can pay. Really!’
And pretty miss C said, ‘No. Not today.’
Sometimes I feel so alone in this big world, and feeling the responsibility of taking care of three of my children; granted, one just turned 23, lives at home while going to college, and I would say, it is a tie as to who cares for who. She is amazing!
And then someone does something like waive our doctor bill. And I am reminded, I am not alone.” And I can breathe.
The pharmacist, while filling our order, said, ’Oh, all four of you have the flu?’
I responded, ‘Its not for sure, but my doc is taking extra precautions since my husband is in the hospital recovering from the flu.’ And then he asked several things that I answered with short sentences.
I gave him my discount card that we purchased from CareNow and he handed it back to me and said, ‘No. Look up GoodRx on your phone.’ I did and he took my phone and typed in the RX.
The medicine would have been $127.00 for each of us WITH my discount, but with GoodRx it was only $51.00 for each of us.
We filled it and went straight home with a pocketbook full of money saved.
David is doing fine today. One of my favorite nurses happened to be the charge nurse today, and she had my back. Again, it was easy to rest fully knowing David is being cared for.
And now, here we are. At home. All snuggled up, taking advantage of being together.
Maybe you wonder, ‘Why don’t they have insurance?’
Because it costs over $1000.00 per month which is way out of our budget. I am probably repeating myself. David was able to afford disability insurance, which definitely is going to be handy. 1/3 of what his normal salary is, but 1/3 is better than no third. ;)
Love love,
His Shelli 💕
