I went shopping.....

I went shopping...for David. He needed pajamas after his shower.

He was so happy!

There was a lump in my throat buying two sizes down and actually seeing them on him.

I smiled through it. Then the PT girls came by to take him for a walk. Despite my daily visits, I have yet to see him walk.

They are so unpredictable in their appearance.

They were teaching me the ‘how to’s’ of it all. I did want to take a picture, but I was helping and holding back tears watching his very thin and fragile self.

He wore out early. All in a matter of five minutes. He usually walks longer, but the shower wore him smooth out.

We are busy getting things purchased that we will need before he comes home. Our house is old and small; lots of the measurements don’t accommodate the equipment. So we are wearing google out.

The nutritionist stopped by to see his calorie intake  from the day before;  we are recording a daily food log.

His appetite is not as eager as my offerings of food...often. ;)

And so, I think I said, we are having to be super creative with the menu.  High calorie and high protein. I cracked the code!  So now we will not have to take home the supplemental feeding.

He graduated to all REAL food! Yay him!

One step closer to home.

Yay!....?    But Yay!

Scary new steps. (For me.) For him? He be ready to come home.

The first thing he said when he woke up this morning...’I dreamed I was home!’

Home sweet home.

BTW

Is there anyone who could help us install rails for both our front and back porch?

And a very small shower seat, while I am asking.... that one has been hard to find. Open to suggestions.

Yes, he will need to come home with oxygen; continuous flow and not pulse flow. It’s a thang.

Pulse flow breaths with the rhythm of his own breath. He will get there. And then he will breath on his own...hopefully.

A girl can dream, wish, hope...

He will be home soon. If not next week, the week after. It’s so nice going forward instead of just staying still, scary though it may be.

Here are the reactions of the kids seeing Daddy’s picture.

And Jono says, ‘Nice shirt!!!’

In reality, these shirts will be passed on to him eventually. May it be SOON!

And that’s all I got.
