(He has been home for seven days!)
He woke up with a cough and a fever.
We held our breath throughout the day.
We also tried to put it aside and focus on things that needed to be done; laundry, cleaning, still unpacking from the hospital, etc...
But it was always on our mind.
I have had night duty for three days in a row. Hannah has not felt well and I wanted her to get rest. And so...
Yes. I will sleep. I am sure it will be light sleep. Sometimes you just have to let go. What will be will be.
But I still have a very willful side that doesn’t allow that ‘easily said’ quote.

Ps. No more fever. Cough minimal. I mostly hear the rhythm of the air compressor.
Thank God
Happy to hear the fever is gone and hopefully it will stay gone. Hope Hannah feels better and you can get some rest.
